Our Craven Fawcett division is proud to have supported ConsTest 2024, an open-choice brass band competition, which was held at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in April.
Craven Fawcett's Technical Director, Kevin Hall, was at the event to present the Craven Fawcett Highest Placed 2nd Section Band, which went to the Skelmersdale Prize Band and was accepted by band representative Stephen Boreham. The band's excellent performance of Eric Ball's 'Tournament for Brass' also led to a 7th place finish overall!
Speaking about the event, Kevin Hall said: "There is a strong historical link between the clay industry, coal industry and brass bands and ConsTest was a great way for Craven Fawcett to support this established community relationship. We have been sponsors at this event previously and knew what a well-attended and inspiring event it would be. It was also a superb opportunity to listen to some great live music!"
