Internal Sales Administrator
- Division: BJD Crushers and Hallamshire Engineering Services (2 Vacancies)
- Hours of Work: 37 hours a week
- 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, with half an hour lunch break
8am to 1pm, Friday
We are looking for Internal Sales Administrators to join our expanding BJD Crushers and Hallamshire Engineering Service teams.
MAIN FUNCTION & SCOPE OF THE JOB:
This is a people-focused role where personality, positivity and enthusiasm are just as important as experience. Working closely with the Business Development Manager and External Sales Engineers, you will be the friendly voice keeping in touch with customers, following up quotations, building relationships and helping turn enquiries into sales whilst accurately maintaining our CRM system.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Keep in regular contact with customers by following up quotations, gathering feedback and spotting opportunities to turn quotes into orders
- Make friendly and confident outbound calls to prospective customers who have shown interest via our marketing campaigns or website enquiries
- Ask the right questions to understand customer needs, qualify leads and move through to quotation stage
- Manage daily quotation follow-up calls in line with agreed KPIs, keeping momentum and ensuring customers receive a timely response
- Log calls, actions, appointments and follow-ups clearly and accurately so nothing gets missed
- Keep the CRM database well maintained, ensuring customer details, sales information and quotation updates are accurate and easy to follow
- Record callback dates, actions and notes on HubSpot so our sales team always have clear and up-to-date information
- Build a good understanding of the company’s products, capabilities, margins and production lead times to support helpful customer conversations
- Work closely with the sales team and Business Development Managers, providing cheerful, reliable and proactive support with sales activity and administration
- Help progress outstanding quotations, identify confirmed orders and make sure the sales forecast reflects current opportunities accurately
- Prepare costing estimates and supporting documentation for customer enquiries

Qualifications
- Good standard of general education, including English and Maths or equivalent. (E)
- Relevant sales, customer service, business administration or CRM system training. (D)
Skills & Knowledge

- Confidence using CRM systems or a willingness to learn and maintain accurate records (E)
- Knowledge of HubSpot or similar CRM platforms (D)
- Understanding of sales pipelines, quotation follow-up processes and sales forecasting (D)
- Interested in learning about engineering, manufacturing or technical products (D)
Experience
- Experience speaking with customers via telephone (E)
- Experience in a customer service / telesales role (E)
- Experience working to targets, KPIs or agreed activity levels. (D)
- Experience using HubSpot or another CRM system. (D)
- Experience supporting a sales team and Business Development Manager (D)
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, technical sales (D)
